Join Us

To join Generation Groove, or any of the junior bands you don't have to have taken any grades. We encourage players of all abilities to come to a rehearsal and see for themselves the bands in action and to decide which band is most suitable for them, whether it be New Generation, Getting into the Groove, or Generation Groove. We do not limit the numbers of players or instruments in New Generation or Getting into the Groove however, entry to Generation Groove is by invitation. We have some player vacancies listed below, but if your instrument isn't listed, please still get in touch as we often take on players even when it means that players are doubling up on parts. We currently have vacancies for:

• 2nd French Horn
• 3rd Trombone
• Baritone Saxophone
• Oboe

Our Academy band welcomes beginner players of all ages and aims to provide players with the ability and confidence to progress to New Generation.
