Generation Groove is a vibrant community concert band based in Haxby, York. We perform across Yorkshire and beyond, bringing high-quality live music to concerts, community events and special occasions.

With over 80 members across our community bands, we offer opportunities for musicians of different ages and abilities to learn, develop, perform and be part of something special. Through Junior Groovers, our free after-school band for children aged 7+, we're also helping a new generation discover the joy of making music together.

Our repertoire is designed to entertain and connect with audiences of all kinds. We perform:

In May 2026 we launched Junior Groovers, our free after-school band for children aged 7+ in Haxby and surrounding communities.

We provide instruments, tuition and weekly rehearsals completely free, so cost is never a barrier to taking part. Children learn an instrument and experience the confidence and sense of belonging that comes from making music together.
