Generation Groove is a vibrant community concert band based in Haxby, York. We perform across Yorkshire and beyond, bringing high-quality live music to concerts, community events and special occasions.

With four bands and over 80 members, we offer opportunities for musicians of all ages and abilities — from beginners to advanced players — to learn, perform and be part of something special.

Our repertoire is designed to entertain and connect with audiences of all kinds. We perform:

• Film and show music

• Swing, jazz and big band classics

• Popular and contemporary hits

• Light classical and ceremonial pieces

• Themed programmes (e.g. Proms, Bierkeller, Christmas)

We play well-loved favourites as well as fresh, exciting arrangements.

As a registered charity, we’re raising funds to launch a new junior band for children aged 7+.

This will provide a fun, supportive introduction to music — helping young people build confidence, skills and a lifelong love of playing.
